'We're a group of friends in our mid twenties working in London, enjoying the freedom of living in rented accommodation. We have a very sociable house and often have friends over for dinner and parties. During the week however, the house tends to be quite empty as we're out at work or with friends. We lead busy lives, so having a cleaner is essential.'

'As a multi-generational family I live with my husband, 17 month old son and my husband's parents. We've all lived together for five years and love it because it not only means we have babysitters on call when we need them, but we share household expenses so we can spend money on the things we enjoy!'

'We've been married almost 47 years and are both now retired. I love DIY - in our old house I put the central heating in, we've concreted our drive, and I even used to make furniture - some of which is still filling our garage! We were the first ones in our family to buy our own home rather than a council house, it's totally different today.'
